Study: Cling Z Calendar
As the year's end approaches,
sending a 2004 calendar to clients and contacts is about as new
as 2003. But Transwestern Commercial Services made the old-fashioned
calendar a modern marketing piece with the help of Triangle printers
of Skokie, Ill.
Triangle's 3-by-8-inch Cling
Z calendar carries only the first four months of 2004, offering
an opportunity to update its message long before 2005 calendars
debut. Better yet, the Cling Z calendar doesn't need an inch of
desktop space or an icon on a crowded computer desktop - because
the Cling Z calendar is printed on a thin, transparent slice of
film that sticks easily to any surface without the magnetism that
endangers computer operations.
"The Cling Z is an extremely
cool way to get your name in front of people," says Ronald
Garvey, vice president of Transwestern Commercial Services, which
distributed Cling Z calendars during mid-2003. "A lot of marketing
pieces don't have longevity, and we were thrilled to see one that
does."
To promote special cash incentives
for space brokers in a downtown building, Transwestern sent out
its Cling Z calendars with a $2 bill inserted between the calendar
and its white backing. Terms of the incentive were printed on the
calendar, along with Transwestern's contact information and the
address of the building being offered.
"This was such an attention-getting
piece," Garvey says. "We found that it was so versatile
that we printed extras for other uses. We put some in a supplemental
mailing, for example, and we found it really stayed with the people
who received it."
Triangle, a full-service printing
company, offers its clients custom printing for high-profile, full-color
presentations. Triangle also offers customers a value printing option,
which produces high quality materials-including catalogs, postcards,
brochures, rack literature and posters-at about half the cost of
custom printing. Additionally, the company's Creative Services Department
provides graphic design, copywriting and photography for a variety
of projects.
