breakfast_pam3The Triangle sales team generally hosts a luncheon for all of our employees during thbreakfast_bill1e holidays, but due to busy sales and production throughout the month of December, lunch had to be postponed. In the meantime, they came up with the idea of doing a breakfast for the company, but instead of having it catered, they decided to cook and serve the meal themselves!

The breakfast took place on Thursday, January 22 at 9:30 am. All members of the sales team pitched in with the purchasing, prepping and cooking of the food as well as setting up tables with place settings and potted plants for decoration. Orange juice and Starbucks coffee were served to help wash down the delicious breakfast items that included waffles, pancakes, sausage and fresh fruit.

Company founder, Harvey Saltzman was on hand to supervise his team and had this to say, “This is a very unique thing…you don’t often see this at other companies.”

breakfast_goerth2Sales team members that were on hand to help out with this event included Paul Engel, Stevbreakfast_ashley2e Farber, Steve Goerth, Ashley Hansen, Allison Rickett, Harvey Saltzman, Pam Spicer and Bill Valenta. The breakfast was a great way to start the day and allowed employees from different departments to sit down and spend some time together. This is not the only meal of the year shared by Triangle employees; they also get together for company lunches paid for by the Triangle that are awarded through a “game” that tracks performance and accuracy throughout the company and rewards them accordingly with lunch, cash bonuses and paid time off.

The breakfast was a big hit among employees with many exclaiming, “We should do this every week.” The big question remains: will the sales team opt for their traditional luncheon next year or will they shoot for the popular breakfast trend? We will see…
