How it all began.

In 1953, Harvey Saltzman began as an intern in a print shop run by his family. Two years later, he decided to start out on his own and founded Triangle Printers in a 6' x 10' office space. Triangle acquired its first 1-color press in 1962 and later moved to a new space one block from Wrigley Field in Chicago. Triangle established itself even further when it began a profit sharing program for all of its employees in 1967. Our company began the 1970s with a move to our present site (28,000 sq. ft.) in Skokie, IL where we started producing full color separations for printing multi-page catalogs. A decade later, business was booming for Harvey and Triangle's growing staff, so the Skokie building was expanded to 50,000 sq. ft. to accommodate the increased demand. In the early 1980s, the addition of 5-color and 6-color presses as well as the electronic imaging and pagination brought Triangle into a new realm of technology. After the desktop publishing era had fully rooted itself, Triangle added creative services by including in-house photography, copywriting and graphic design. The start of the new millennium saw Triangle going digital with the addition of an HP Indigo digital press. In 2005, we added the services of collating, mailing and fulfillment to complete our approach to a one-stop shop business. Our pressroom recently welcomed the addition of a brand new 7-color conventional press and the Canon ImagePress C7000VP digital press. This year Triangle completed its 75,000th order; quite an accomplishment considering our small start over 50 years ago.
